(Canada) is a part of Good News
Unlimited, an interdominational Christian
organization proclaiming the Good News about Jesus Christ
and his kingdom of grace. We place special emphasis on
the message of salvation by grace through faith in
Christ's righteousness. Our beliefs could be briefly
summarized as follows: GOD God is one, and apart from Him there is no God. He exists simultaneously and eternally as three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Father is the author and initiator of love. Jesus Christ, the Son, is God in bodily form. The Holy Spirit is God who indwells an individual upon invitation. SCRIPTURE The Bible is the reliable Word of God, written in the words and literary style of individuals. It is our supreme and final authority in faith and practice. Jesus is God's final Word. SALVATION Humans are created in the image of God to fellowship with Him and give Him glory. Adam and Eve, the first humans, chose to go their own independent way and as a result, the fellowship was broken. God has acted sovereignly to restore the fellowship with humans by sending his Son. Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and died to bear the full penalty for all of humanity's sins. It is up to the individual to believe and accept this provision for their salvation. RESURRECTION Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, conquering sin, death and all the powers of Satan. He ascended to Heaven into God's presence and now lives to intercede for humanity. THE SECOND COMING Christ is coming back. The day or the hour is unknown but signs have been given to indicate its certainty. He is returning as Righteous Judge and King of Kings bringing eternal life to those who have accepted His invitation. THE GREAT COMMISSION We have been commissioned by Christ to go into all the world, baptizing and teaching everyone His Word. We are to model our lives after His. THE GOSPEL The "Good News" is that eternal life is God's gift to humanity through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It is the choice of the individual to accept this gift by believing and loving in responsive gratitude to His generosity. ORGANIZATION We began meeting in the spring of 1982 as a non-denominational fellowship in response to a need to:
MEMBERSHIP Toronto Good News Fellowship does not maintain a formal membership roll. Regular attendance is a matter of conscience and is voluntary. Participation is encouraged and welcomed. MINISTRY The fellowship selects a minister to provide spiritual leadership. SERVICES Services are held every Saturday (Sabbath) at 10:00 AM. The first hour is a Bible Study Class usually based on a book of the Bible. The preaching service begins at 11:00. The Lord's Supper is celebrated on the 1 St Saturday of each month. An informal pot-luck lunch is usually held on the 3rd Saturday of the month. There is provision for a children's ministry. OUTREACH The Fellowship is a major sponsor of the radio broadcast "Good News Unlimited" with Dr. Desmond Ford as speaker. This outstanding program can be heard on over 1 2 stations in Canada alone. We also sponsor a spring and fall Seminar annually. AN INVITATION You are cordially invited to worship with us every Saturday at 10:00 AM.
